I am Matteo Balzarini. I do all things Marketing at Justly. In the past I worked on Analytics and CRO for Ryanair in Dublin and occasionally worked freelance, building Paid Media campaigns for SMEs and consulting for them on Analytics, onboarding and UX. Lastly, in 2016 I finished my second MSc, this time in Digital Marketing at UCD Smurfit in the peaceful Dublin, Ireland.

Where all this began?
- It began with Prince of Persia and MS DOS.
- After, my passion for psychology took over; it still has a huge impact on my life.
- Then I started making things online, and it’s been a crazy experience but no, I am not an entrepreneur, yet.

FACEBOOK APPS (DISMISSED)

- AVERAGING 1,500 EURO/MO FOR 5 YEARS
Later on, during my undergraduate years, I also created some Facebook gaming applications and I succeeded in spreading them through the social network, reaching 100,000 Daily Active Users (DAUs). The advertisement on the applications allowed me to earn about 1,500 Euro per month on average, for about 5 years. I closed this project last year, after the applications progressively lost users as Facebook started limiting and restricting sharing functions on the platform, to developers.
IPHONE APP (DISMISSED)

During my Master I designed an iPhone app (http://itunes.apple.com/app/sbabam-rage-faces-to-sms/id523055765) and I outsourced the coding part to a professional developer. It reached the Top 10 of Lifestyle category in Italy and got into the Top 25 Overall for paid apps, averaging up to 130 units sold a day. These experience allowed me to learn about social media mechanisms, mobile engagement and growth management.

Over several years, I have been building upon my passion for psychology and sociological disciplines, reading hundreds of books on the topic, in order to acquire a background on social behaviors, with a focus on social psychology and in 2008, with a friend I created a website (Seducere.com), a free online course (started in Italian, now under translation in English) to help people rediscover their natural social abilities. The goal is to help people overcome self-limiting beliefs, build their passions, improve their lifestyle and strengthen their socialization skills while starting new relationships. I recently got featured regarding Seducere, in an article of the DailyPump magazine.
Seducere is successfully selling our own e-books and I have personally consulted clients and helped them achieve their results. The project started as a simple blog, but then grew and expanded into a multi-functional portal and it is serving today more than 2000 DAUs.
The portal provides multiple services: a Skype coaching service, an e-commerce area which sells e-books entirely created by me and my co-founder and which currently constitutes the primary source of revenue of this venture (with a conversion rate of 3%), a community forum where users can discuss and keep their personal journal and a web-magazine which last month got very viral on social networks and reached 1’000’000 Unique Users. This experience gave me the opportunity to learn about SEO and other web marketing tools like advertising platforms both as publisher and advertiser (Adsense).
As a result, the Seducere is now on the first page of Google.it for competitive keywords, like: [come conquistare una ragazza], [conquistare una ragazza], [sedurre], [attrazione], [film da vedere], [film da vedere assolutamente]. Thanks to this venture I have developed a significant comprehension of SEO mechanisms and I am able to position a website on the first page of Google.it or Google.com for quite competitive keywords.
Moreover, I had an interesting experience both as a writer and as an editor which gave me the possibility to enrich and expand my entrepreneurial skill-set, having the chance to direct and supervise a group of writers who are periodically working for our magazine.
